Peshawar, Mar 16 : At least 16 people were killed and seven others injured in a missile attack in the troubled tribal areas of Pakistan.
The residents of the area said they heard several blasts after missiles fired from an unknown site hit a residential compound in a village in South Waziristan.
They also said that foreigners having link with the Taliban and al-Qaeda extremists were believed to be staying at the compound near Wana.
"Militants have cordoned the blast site and are taking out bodies from the rubble," a local tribesman told a foreign news agency.
