KaMin LLC, formerly the Kaolin Business Unit of J.M. Huber Corporation, announced that due to soaring inland and ocean freight rates combined with escalating fuel surcharges, price increases will be implemented on all export delivered kaolin clay pricing to industrial specialties markets effective July 1, 2008.
Tom Anderskow, Vice President - Sales and Marketing for the Industrial Specialties business stated, "We have continued to absorb the punishing effects of general rate increases and fuel surcharges implemented by ocean, truck and rail providers. These price increases are necessary to allow KaMin LLC to provide the superior service our international customers have come to expect."
KaMin's Industrial Specialties business manufactures a variety of kaolin clay grades engineered for paint, coatings, ink, adhesives, rubber and plastics manufacturers.
KaMin LLC was formed in April 2008 and is headquartered in Macon, GA.
