A militant shot four people dead in Pakistans Swat valley today while a bomb blast killed two soldiers who were on a routine patrol.

Peshawar, June 29 : A militant shot four people dead in Pakistan's Swat valley today while a bomb blast killed two soldiers who were on a routine patrol.

The bomb planted by suspected pro-Taliban militants exploded on a roadside, the Dawn quoted military sources, as saying.

"The death toll is two now, as an injured soldier died at the hospital," the official said.

Separately, four people including a tribal elder were shot dead by unknown attackers in different areas of Swat valley early this morning, police said.

"All of them were shot dead at their homes by unknown attackers," senior police official Fazal Subhan said.

Residents suspected pro-Taliban militants behind the shootings.
