There are expected to have discussion on the findings of Samjhauta Express blasts.

The meeting assumes significance as it is being held three days ahead of the foreign ministers meeting.

The meeting is being held for the third time after it was set up in line with a decision taken during a meeting between President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on the margins of the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Havana in September 2006.

With the leadership in both the countries keen to take the peace process forward, the meeting is likely to take certain solid decisions in the wake of recent incidents of infiltration on the LOC and resurgence of Taliban in Afghanistan and its impact in Pakistan.
