Islamabad, July 19 : Not long ago, Shaukat Aziz was the Prime Minister of Pakistan and it seemed as if nothing could touch or unfazed him. Today, the tables have turned. The new parliament, dominated by representatives of the ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have decided to place in the legislative dock.

A standing committee of the Pakistan Senate has summoned Aziz on August 23 to question him over alleged financial irregularities.

A meeting of Senate's Standing Committee for Social Welfare and Special Education, which was presided by Senator Enver Baig, has taken notice of the financial irregularities in " Tawana Pakistan" program and summoned former Prime Minister and former federal ministers.

The committee has informed that the PC-I of Tawana Pakistan program for supplying food and medicines to 530,000 students was incomplete.
