Zardari criticises Musharraf for death insult to Benazir

Asif Ali Zardari, the husband of former remier Benazir Bhutto, has criticised President Musharraf for aying that the opposition leader was to blame for her ssassination.

Karachi, Jan 8 : Asif Ali Zardari, the husband of former remier Benazir Bhutto, has criticised President Musharraf for aying that the opposition leader was to blame for her ssassination.

Zardari said Musharraf's admission that a bullet may have killed er -- not a blow to the head from the sunroof lever, as fficials previously said -- showed the authorities had something to hide."

Asked if he felt insulted by Musharraf's comments, Zardari said: It's a total insult to democracy that he could not save the one erson that could keep Pakistan together."

Speaking from the Bhutto family ancestral home in Naudero, ardari was also scathing about Musharraf's admission to the CBS ews that a bullet may have caused the fatal injury.

"They have changed stories four times... you change stories ecause you have something to hide," The Australian quoted him, s saying.

Looking tired after travelling to see his son off to a new term t Oxford University, Zardari admitted he feared for Bilawal's afety, but said he had to honour his wife's last wishes.

A foreign news agency quoted Zardari as saying that Bilawal was oping well despite his mother's death.

"Bilawal is definitely made out of better DNA than I am," he dded.
