London, Jan 8 : Pakistan People's Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari today said that a Pakistan Government-led investigation into his mother Benazir Bhutto's assassination has no credibility.
Stating that Benazir wasn't having appropriate security cover, Bilawal said: "Had she been provided with adequate protection, she would have been alive today."
Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on December 27 in Rawalpindi.
Appreciating the involvement of a Scotland Yard team into the investigation being carried out by the Pakistan Government, Bilawal said, "We appreciate that Scotland Yard detectives have become involved, but we continue to demand an investigation led by the United Nations.'"
Bilawal, who addressed the press here, urged the media to leave him alone.
He also expressed his hope that his privacy would be respected while he studies at Oxford University.
His father (Asif Ali Zardari) would be in charge of the party till he was a student, Bilawal told reporters here.
Last month, Bilawal was elected Chairman of the PPP at a meeting, which was held at Benazir's parental Naudero House in Larkana.
