The European Union (EU) said on Sunday that it would continue to cooperate with President Pervez Musharraf.
Lahore, Jan 7 : The European Union (EU) said on Sunday that it would continue to cooperate with President Pervez Musharraf.
The EU said Musharraf was an elected president and that the EU would continue to cooperate in the wider interest of the people of Pakistan.The EU's Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero Waldner said in Brussels that an EU delegation would visit Pakistan in February.
The Daily Times further quoted Waldner as saying that she hoped the situation in Pakistan would improve after the lifting of emergency rule.
She further hoped that the situation in Pakistan would further improve after the elections, as major political parties, have decided to take part in the polls.
