Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto had said in an interview to a US magazine before her assassination on December 27 that her enemies wanted her dead.

New York, Jan 7 : Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto had said in an interview to a US magazine before her assassination on December 27 that her enemies wanted her dead.

"I am what terrorists most fear, a female political leader fighting to bring modernity to Pakistan, now they're trying to kill me," The News quoted Benazir, as saying.

Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on December 27 in Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh area.

Benazir was featured on a cover of a US magazine, 10 days after her assassination.
