It looks like Britons have sharply differing tastes in home comfort, for a survey has revealed that one in six couples would prefer living apart than share a home.
London, Jan 6 : It looks like Britons have sharply differing tastes in home comfort, for a survey has revealed that one in six couples would prefer living apart than share a home.
The survey, conducted by mobile phone giants Orange, found that three million couples dream of his and her homes.
Out of all men and women questioned, 45 per cent of the men said that they were most at home when they had control of the TV, with 32 per cent happiest with their choice of DVDs and 40 per cent most comfortable with a fully stocked fridge, reports the Daily Record.
The survey found that 71 percent of the women were happiest with clean sheets, 63 percent with a warm bath and 35 percent favoured freshly cut flowers.
44 per cent of women felt at home with a pet, but only 26 per cent of men found it to be important. 35 per cent of women wanted to wear their favourite tracksuit or pyjama bottoms at home compared with 13 per cent of men.
Both sexes, with men at 76 percent and women at 73 percent, agreed that surfing the Internet at home was a must.
Six in 10 said they spent more time on the Internet at home than watching TV.
The bed was singled out as the key household item for comfort by 63 per cent of men and 74 per cent of women.
