At least seven security personnel and thirty-seven militants were killed on Tuesday when militants attacked a Pakistani security force fort in the troubled South Waziristan region on the Afghan border.

Peshawar, Jan 22 : At least seven security personnel and thirty-seven militants were killed on Tuesday when militants attacked a Pakistani security force fort in the troubled South Waziristan region on the Afghan border.

Pakistan military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas was quoted by a foreign news agency confirming that five soldiers were killed and 37 insurgents were killed after miscreants attacked a military fort at Ladha in South Waziristan.

Abbas further said that in a separate incident in the neighbouring region of North Waziristan, two security personnel were killed and six others were injured after militants fired rockets at a military fort in Razmak, The News reported.
