Princess Dianas former butler Paul Burrell is refusing to spend more time in the UK, especially after being humiliated at the princess death inquest last week, his friends have revealed.
London, Jan 19 : Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell is refusing to spend more time in the UK, especially after being humiliated at the princess' death inquest last week, his friends have revealed.
Attorneys at the London High Court hearing frantically grilled Burrell after it emerged that his long- held claim to hold the key to Diana's final secrets was a myth.
Now pals of the former royal butler, who is based mainly in the US but has a home in Farndon, Cheshire, say that he intends to "steer clear of Britain as much as possible."
"Paul and his family have a great life over in Florida where he's treated well and makes a good living," the Daily Express quoted a neighbour of Burrell, as saying.
"But almost as soon as he steps foot back in the UK he gets completely humiliated and has his reputation further damaged.
"The word is that his experience this week has led him to conclude that he'll be spending even less time over here. He has really fallen out of love with Britain," the neighbour added.
