London, Jan 19 : It looks like Brits are happier being alone if their future financial and emotional securities are guaranteed.
The finding is based on a poll, conducted by Relate, which found that nearly six in ten women and 51 per cent of men would leave if their future financial and emotional security could be guaranteed.
The poll was conducted on 2,000 married people, which found that 13 per cent of women and one in ten men wished they had married someone else.
Around a third stay in a miserable marriage to avoid the upheaval of divorce, or stay for the sake of their children.
"Couples who address their problems and talk to each other when they feel they may be taken for granted stand a better chance of pulling through," The Sun quoted Relate, as saying.
