Tony Blair is preparing to take a lucrative job with the international investment bank J P Morgan, one of the biggest names on Wall Street.
London, Jan.10 : Tony Blair is preparing to take a lucrative job with the international investment bank J P Morgan, one of the biggest names on Wall Street.
According to The Telegraph, Blair is expected to get a fee of 500,000-pounds-a-year.
Since he left office last June, several international banks are said to have wooed Blair, hoping to make use of his extensive contacts with governments around the world, but he has decided to act part-time for JP Morgan and is likely to take up similar advisory roles elsewhere.
The independent business appointments advisory commitee overseeing the jobs taken by former ministers is understood to have approved Blair's new part-time post.
He will also continue to carry out his unpaid work as a UN Middle East envoy.
