Musharraf administers oath of office to Chief Justice to Islamabad HC

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Saturday administered oath of office to Justice Sardar Mohammad Aslam as Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court.

Islamabad, Feb 9 : Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Saturday administered oath of office to Justice Sardar Mohammad Aslam as Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court.

The court will comprise of eight judges, besides the Chief Justice and is expected to be operational within this month, the Dawn reported.

Earlier, most of the cases of the area were dealt with by the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court.

Pakistan Supreme Court Chief Justice Muhammad Aslam Dogar, judges of the Supreme Court and members of the caretaker cabinet were present during the swearing-in ceremony.
