The first people in Britain to be charged with disturbing a bottlenose dolphin had to face a court trial.
London, Feb 7 : The first people in Britain to be charged with disturbing a bottlenose dolphin had to face a court trial.
After downing seven pints in the pub, friends Daniel Buck and Michael Jukes, of Folkestone, Kent, jumped in the sea for a swim and grabbed the dolphin's fin for a ride, reports the Sun.
Following the action, the 26-year-olds were arrested and Jukes told the cops: "People travel to do that in Florida, so I took advantage."
The 26-year-old pair deny messing with the dolphin, called Dave.
However, a marine biologist showed the incident on video to the local JPs and said that the mammal was being disturbed.
The trial is to be continued.
