Spice Girls apologise for axing reunion tour

Spice Girls have issued a personal apology to fans across the globe for axing the last leg of their reunion tour.

Washington, Feb 3 : 'Spice Girls' have issued a personal apology to fans across the globe for axing the last leg of their reunion tour.

The all-girl band was scheduled to play concerts in Cape Town, South Africa; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Beijing, China; and Sydney, Australia at the end of Feb.

However, due to the high demand for extra performances in London, their tour schedule had to be changed, and subsequent dates were never officially set.

Band members Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham announced the cancellation on 1 February.

They said that the gigs were scrapped due to 'family and personal commitments'.

"It's been incredible being back together and seeing our fans again. Really sorry if we didn't get to see you this time around. We have other commitments in our lives now. But who knows what will happen next?" Contactmusic quoted the band, stating in the apology.

The world tour will now end in Toronto, Canada, on 26 February.
