Cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan and Pakistan Supreme Court Bar Association president Aitzaz Ahsan on Friday said the Pakistanis have rejected President Pervez Musharrafs dictatorship.
Lahore, Feb 22 : Cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan and Pakistan Supreme Court Bar Association president Aitzaz Ahsan on Friday said the Pakistanis have rejected President Pervez Musharraf's dictatorship.
Appreciating Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People's Party co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari's statement over reinstatement of judiciary, Imran and Ahsan urged elected leaders to take a clear stance on the issue of judiciary.
Both leaders stated that there was no need of parliamentary intervention to reinstate the deposed judges, as it was only one executive order.
Aitzaz called for lawyers and civil society's long march on March 9 and Imran ensured the APDM's and his full support and participation to make the long march a success.
