Zardari said his party wanted an independent and autonomous udiciary.

"When I talk of the independence of judiciary, the reinstatement f judges is part of it. We want to make it self-sustainable and ermanent," he said.

Zardari said that he wanted to take the Muttahida Qaumi Movement MQM) along despite reservations from his party's "friends", but uled out an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid.

"I will talk to ... Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Imran Khan, Mehmood Khan chakzai and others to take them into confidence," he added.
