British people who regularly post their videos on YouTube would soon be earning money, as they would be paid for popular clips on the video-sharing website.
Sydney, Feb 2 : British people who regularly post their videos on YouTube would soon be earning money, as they would be paid for popular clips on the video-sharing website.
The users would share the income generated from advertisements running along their clips, and are likely to earn thousands of dollars a month.
Google-owned YouTube's "partner program" has already commenced n the US and Canada.
The scheme is open to "popular and prolific original content creators", who must apply to become partners, reports News.com.au.
Google Australia spokesman said that YouTube was keen to expand the program globally, but there was no timetable yet for its introduction into Australia.
