Lahore, Feb 16 : Pakistan People's Party (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari will meet Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif at the latter's Raiwind estate today to discuss the possibility of forming a united government after the February 18 elections.
According to a TV channel, PML-N sources have said that Saturday's meeting is very important for both parties, as there is a good possibility of large share win by both of them in the elections.
According to the Daily Times, besides talking about power sharing possibilities at the Centre and in the provinces, both Zardari and Sharif could also discuss strategies for public agitation in the event of the elections being rigged.
If both parties resolve their differences on the restoration of disposed judges, then the meeting could turn out to be a major political breakthrough.
According to political analysts, an alliance between the PPP and the PML-N would be a big blow to the President Musharraf-backed Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid.
