Obama, McCain win Virginia primaries

Senator Barack Obama and Republican front runner Senator John McCain have won Virginias Democratic and Republican primaries.

Washington, Feb 13 : Senator Barack Obama and Republican front runner Senator John McCain have won Virginia's Democratic and Republican primaries.

Obama is also hoping to capture first place in Tuesday's Democratic primaries in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Senator John McCain has won the Virginia Republican primary in an unexpectedly close race with Mike Huckabee. The victory means all 60 of the national convention delegates at stake go to the front-runner.

McCain is also hoping to defeat Huckabee in Maryland and the District of Columbia in the Potomac Primary.
