Kathmandu, Apr 8 : Rajendra Pandey, an election official, was abducted in Mahottari district, when he was on his way to a polling centre in the district.
Pandey, who was directed to manage the Banauta polling center, was coming from its residence in Dhanusha district.
The Home Ministry officials have said they could not yet confirm the identity of the abductors, as reported by nepalnews.com.
Some reports have claimed that Pandey was abducted by Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (Jwala Singh), an armed group that has vowed to foil the election.
