Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday reiterated that his government would adopt a multi-pronged strategy to contain terrorism and extremism.

Islamabad, Apr 7 : Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday reiterated that his government would adopt a multi-pronged strategy to contain terrorism and extremism.

Talking to visiting UK Home Secretary Jacqui Smith. Gilani said that the new democratic government would incorporate both short and long-term measures to confront terrorism.

Terrorism is a global phenomenon and the world community should focus on its root causes, the Dawn quoted him, as saying.
