At least one person was injured in a bomb blast that took place at a proposed site of an election assembly of the Nepali Congress (NC) this afternoon.

Kathmandu, Apr 7 : At least one person was injured in a bomb blast that took place at a proposed site of an election assembly of the Nepali Congress (NC) this afternoon.

According to Armed Police Force (APF) officials, an unidentified person, who was on a motorbike, hurled a socket bomb.

The blast occurred around 1:30 pm just half an hour before the proposed election rally in the area.

The injured person has been admitted to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, a second explosion was heard at Koteshwor minutes after the blast at Baneshwor, nepalnews.com reported.
