Karachi, Apr 30 : PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is likely to meet MQM chief Altaf Hussain in London in the next two days to discuss and finalise the power-sharing formula in the Sindh province.
The two sides have been in touch over the issue over the past few days.
"The party is in consultations over certain aspects of the formula for the formation of a coalition government in Sindh, but certain issues are yet to be finalised," the Daily Times quoted MQM's deputy parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly, Faisal Sabzwari as saying.
Sources revealed that the leaders of both the parties had approved the draft, major points of which consist of four main demands laid down by the MQM, viz, the Sindh governor would not be changed; the Sindh cabinet would have 70 percent seats for the PPP and other coalition partners, and 30 percent for the MQM; both parties would formulate different committees to tackle administrative matters and party issues with mutual understanding; and parliamentary committees would be formulated by both parties to deal with matters related to the Sindh Assembly.
Though MQM is extending support to the PPP-led federal government, there has not yet been any decision on the role of the MQM in the federal government and in the Senate.
