Indian Navy ships INS Mumbai and INS Karmukh have reached Durban to take part a ten day long exercise with South Africa and Brazil naval forces.

Durban, Apr 27 : Indian Navy ships INS Mumbai and INS Karmukh have reached Durban to take part a ten day long exercise with South Africa and Brazil naval forces.

The exercise would be held along the Cape Town coast.

The Indian officers and the crewmen were accorded with a very special reception when they reached Durban. The naval exercises will start on May 5 and will go on till May 15.

Indian High Commissioner to South Africa Rajiv Kumar Bhatia said that the relations between India and South Africa have taken a new momentum with the recent establishment of the Indo-African Forum in New Delhi.
