PPP, PML-N deadlock over judges restoration issue

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are still deadlocked over the judges restoration issue, a source privy to the ongoing consultations said.

Islamabad, Apr 26 : The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) are still deadlocked over the judges' restoration issue, a source privy to the ongoing consultations said.

The meeting is said to have made a slight headway with both sides working out a couple of proposals to be presented to the top leadership.

The PML-N wants the restoration of the judges first and is opposed to it being linked to the Constitutional package or its simultaneous tabling in the National Assembly (NA).

The Nation quoted a credible source in the PML-N as saying that his party would not budge from their declared stand of getting the judges restored.
