A powerful bomb blast near a police station in Mardan, Pakistan killed at least three persons and injured over 35 on Friday.
Islamabad, Apr 25 : A powerful bomb blast near a police station in Mardan, Pakistan killed at least three persons and injured over 35 on Friday.
The bomb was reportedly hidden in a car parked in a market near the police station.
The blast occurred around 6:00 a.m., and caused extensive damage to the boundary wall of the police station building and a nearby hotel. The deceased include a sub inspector, a hotel owner and a child. At least thirteen security personnel and seven passers-by are among the injured. Several of them are in critical condition, sources said, adding that most of them were being treated at the Mardan Hospital.
Mardan is located about 60 km from Peshawar.
