US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has said that the US will provide military aid to Pakistan to fight terrorism.

Lahore, Apr 19 : US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has said that the US will provide military aid to Pakistan to fight terrorism.

"The United State will provide helicopter spare parts and night vision apparatus to Pakistan to help them to fight terrorism," the Daily Times quoted US Defence Secretary Robert Gates as saying.

Terming Pakistan an important ally in the US-led war on terror, Gates said that Pakistan's military personnel will also be provided necessary training to fight terrorism.

A training for night maneuvers will also be provided to the Pakistani troop, he added.
