Pakistans Election Commission today extended the bye-elections date from June 3 to June 18.

Islamabad, Apr 17 : Pakistan's Election Commission today extended the bye-elections date from June 3 to June 18.

Under the changed schedule of the by-polls, nomination papers for will be received till May 6 and screening of the papers will be held from May 7 to 13, reported The News.

The objections over the nominations can be filed till May 17. The tribunals will decide the objections up to May 24. The candidates could withdraw the nominations till May 26 and the final lists will be issued on the same day.

According to the schedule, polling for eight national and 30 provincial seats will be held on June 18.

The schedule has not been changed for five seats of the Senate, Secretary Election Commission said.
