TV star Jason Beghe slams Scientology on YouTube

Once a strong promoter of the Church of Scientology, US TV star Jason Beghe has left the religion behind and dubbed it destructive and a rip off in a new YouTube video rant.

Melbourne, Apr 15 : Once a strong promoter of the Church of Scientology, US TV star Jason Beghe has left the religion behind and dubbed it "destructive" and a "rip off" in a new YouTube video rant.

According to Foxnews.com, Beghe has slammed the Church of Scientology, after he first appeared in its promotional spots in 2005.

The video, in which Beghe has acquired an abusive tone, is touted as a three-minute teaser to a longer interview with the actor that will soon be released.

"It's very, very dangerous for your spiritual, psychological, mental, emotional health and evolution. I think it stunts your evolution. If Scientology is real, then something's f*** up," News.com.au quoted him, as saying IN THE VIDEO.

The 48-year-old star is now speaking against the religion as he has turned his back towards Scientology after taking courses since 1994.

In fact, he has completed so many courses in the religion that he's considered a top Scientologist, like Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley.

Beghe starred as Demi Moore's beau in G.I. Jane and was also seen in a number of TV dramas such as Criminal Minds, Numb3rs, and CSI.
