Leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Awami National Party (ANP) on Tuesday decided to act upon the 30-day deadline for the restoration of the deposed judiciary.

Islamabad, Apr.15 : Leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Awami National Party (ANP) on Tuesday decided to act upon the 30-day deadline for the restoration of the deposed judiciary.

According to reports, the leaders of these three parties decided that the resolution regarding the restoration of the deposed judges would not be included in the constitutional package. It was also agreed upon that the Murree Declaration would be fully implemented.

PPP leaders Raja Pervez Ashraf, Raza Rabbani, Khurshid Shah, Farooque Naik, Sherry Rehman and Naveed Qamar and PML (N)'s Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Khawaja Asif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali and Ahsan Iqbal attended the meeting at Zardari House here, reports The News.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman could not attend the meeting, as he is ailing.

Meanwhile, deposed Supreme Court Chief Justice, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, said on Tuesday that the lawyers' movement is aimed at ensuring supremacy of the Constitution and law, and the time was not far off when the law of the land would rule in the country.

Addressing the Malir Bar Association via through telephone, Jusitce Chaudhry strongly condemned the killing of people and torching of lawyers' offices including those of Malir Bar in Karachi on April 9.

He said the sacrifices of the lawyers would not go in waste, saying the way the lawyers fraternity had carried forward its movement was laudable.

The President of the Malir Bar Association, Mehmood-ul-Hasan, also addressed the bar.
