PML-N willing to shake hands with Altaf if he returns

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is willing to shake hands with MQM chief Altaf Hussain if he returned to the country within 10 days and eliminated his partys terrorist cell allegedly led by Salim Shahzad, said PML-N spokesperson Siddiqul Farooq.

Lahore, Apr 13 : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is willing to shake hands with MQM chief Altaf Hussain if he returned to the country within 10 days and eliminated his party's terrorist cell allegedly led by Salim Shahzad, said PML-N spokesperson Siddiqul Farooq.

He said that the MQM chief should provide a list of party terrorists and unlicensed weapons to the government.

"Altaf should also set the Urdu-speaking majority free, which is held hostage by his men in Karachi and Hyderabad," he added.

The News quoted Farooq as saying if Altaf really loved Pakistan, especially the poor people of Karachi and Hyderabad, he should benefit from the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), come back within 10 days and take part in politics while sitting among his own people.

He said if the MQM chief was willing to return, the PML-N was ready to send a special plane to London to bring him back as a goodwill gesture.

"PML-N leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has no grudge against Altaf Hussain, rather he has dedicated himself to serving the people and strengthening the motherland," Farooq added.

Talking about Altaf's offer for a UN probe into the May 12 killings and other incidents, he said parliament was the sole representative of the people of Pakistan and it would constitute a judicial committee to probe into the Karachi killings, arson and other heinous crimes.
