Islamabad, Sept 6 : A senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) has welcomed the negotiations between former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and President Pervez Musharraf, terming it as a positive sign for the country's democracy.
Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Secretary General of the PML, has urged Nawaz Sharif not to return to the country and asking him to complete his ten years of exile in Saudi Arabia, which he had agreed to earlier.
Sayed suggested that Sharif should not 'embarrass' his Saudi benefactors by returning to Pakistan on September 10, which the latter has declared
"It is on record that Sharif left the country as the result of a deal with General Musharraf, which was initiated by an Arab consortium formed on America's request, Daily Times quoted Sayed, as saying.
Sayed, who also beefed the 60-member youth parliament about the key challenges of foreign policy, earlier admitted that unfortunately the system of accountability was very poor as compared to the neighbouring countries where railways minister resigns after a rail accident.
He requested the government that officials responsible for the Karachi bridge collapse must be sacked.
