Attock jail being readied for the Sharifs

The Pakistan Government has indicated that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif would be sent to the Attock jail after their arrest on September 10.

Lahore, Sep 6 : The Pakistan Government has indicated that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif would be sent to the Attock jail after their arrest on September 10.

Geo News quoted sources as saying that VIP cells of the jail were being cleaned and whitewashed for their "upcoming residents".

New curtains and furniture have been placed in the cells where the two brothers would be detained, the channel said.

The renovation of the VIP cells started after the Sharifs had announced their date of return, sources claimed.
