A vet in Sydney was left stunned when he found that the cat brought in with dilated pupils and a racing heart was high on cocaine.
London, Sept 5 : A vet in Sydney was left stunned when he found that the cat brought in with dilated pupils and a racing heart was high on cocaine.
Though the owner of the eight-month-old Himalayan breed insisted that the cat had not been exposed to drugs, the concerned vet decided to double check with the man's wife who had a very different story to tell.
The Mirror reports that the lady admitted that her pet cat could have ended up getting high on the drug after it licked "plates of cocaine" from a dinner party she and her husband had thrown that night.
The feline was also found to have benzodiazepines in its system.
However, as there is no legal requirement for vets to report such cases to the cops Down Under, the owner was simply let off with a counselling, and allowed to take the cat home.
