The deputy parliamentary leader of the PML-N, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, has said there is no change in the date of the Sharif brothers return to Pakistan.
Islamabad, Sep 5 : The deputy parliamentary leader of the PML-N, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, has said there is no change in the date of the Sharif brothers' return to Pakistan.
He confirmed that their seats have been booked on three Islamabad-bound flights from London on September 10, but a final decision on which flight they would take, would be made on September 8.
Khan said that originally the plan was to get the Sharif brothers back to Pakistan on a chartered flight, but fears that the government might divert the flight to another airfield led to the idea being dropped.
The Daily Times quoted him as saying that the brothers' entourage would comprise around a hundred people, including leaders of the PML-N from Europe and media representatives.
Khan claimed that police was raiding the houses of PML-N leaders and activists, and added that hundreds of party workers have been arrested in Punjab.
