Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former cricketer Imran Khan has criticised the ongoing Musharraf-Benazir deal, and said that they are not giving importance to the people and are striking a deal only for a share of power.
Islamabad, Sep 4 : Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former cricketer Imran Khan has criticised the ongoing Musharraf-Benazir deal, and said that they are not giving importance to the people and are striking a deal only for a share of power.
"President Pervez Musharraf and Benazir Bhutto are not giving importance to 160 million people of the country and striking a deal only for power sharing. Such kinds of tactics to come into power are not in the interest of Pakistan, but to please the 'foreign friends," Khan said.
He said that PTI is an ideological party that wants to bring revolutionary changes in education, judiciary and economic system of the country.
"PTI is an ideological party. A political leader does not compromise on his ideology. I want ideological people who do not compromise at all. I made it clear to my party workers that they should follow me when I pursue the ideology, but they should not follow me when I deviate from it," Khan added.
Khan described Musharraf, Bhutto, and Altaf Hussain as liberals, and claimed that the US wants to create a 'liberal alliance' in Pakistan, but liberals are not those who polish the shoes of Gorge W Bush.
He said in next few days historical decisions would be taken, and added that dictatorship, bureaucracy and elite class culture are the root causes of all problems and miseries being faced by the nation.
The Nation quoted Khan as saying that there is dire need to address these issues for the betterment and progress of the masses.
