Lahore, Sep 19 : Tehrik-i-Insaf chief and former cricketer Imran Khan has said that Pakistan cannot survive under a dictatorial rule, and democracy was indispensable for the country.

Khan told a public meeting at Sahiwal Sahib club President Pervez Musharraf and former premier Benazir Bhutto were determined to complete an American agenda by declaring patriotic citizens as extremists.

He said earlier Musharraf and the National Accountability Bureau had accused Bhutto of transferring Rs100 billion out of the country, and now she had been given a no-objection certificate from the Musharraf regime to come back.

The US has also awarded Bhutto a certificate of being a liberal leader.

According to Dawn, Khan said an "imported" Prime Minister is running Pakistan and he is following the directions of the IMF.

Khan said he was sure that Maulana Fazlur Rehman and his party's legislators would resign from the assemblies as per the decision by the All Parties Democratic Movement if Musharraf filed his nomination for the presidential election.

He warned that if Rehman backed away, he would also be exposed like Bhutto.
