The Pakistan Supreme Court on Thursday constituted a larger bench, comprising of nine members, to hear a Jamat Islami petition challenging President Pervez Musharrafs decision to contest President polls and at the same time continuing as Chief of Army.

Islamabad, Sept 13 : The Pakistan Supreme Court on Thursday constituted a larger bench, comprising of nine members, to hear a Jamat Islami petition challenging President Pervez Musharraf's decision to contest President polls and at the same time continuing as Chief of Army.

Justice Bhagwandas will head the bench, while Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Abdul Hameed Doggar, Justice Sardar Raza Khan, Justice Muhammad Nawaz Abbasi, Justice Faqueer Muhammad Khokhar, Justice Falak Sher, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan and Justice M. Javed Buttar will be other members of the bench, The News reported.

The Pakistan Cabinet has already allowed Musharraf to contest presidential polls in his army uniform.
