Islamabad, Sep 13 : President Pervez Musharraf's spokesman, Major General (retired) Rashid Qureshi, has rejected media reports that the General is going to visit Saudi Arabia.
Qureshi termed reports from some private TV channels' that Musharraf is going to Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit, as "baseless and concocted."
Meanwhile, State Minister for Information Tariq Azeem also denied reports that Musharraf would leave for Saudi Arabia today and discuss former premier Nawaz Sharif's exile with King Abdullah.
"There's absolutely no truth in media reports that Musharraf is set to take up Sharif's deportation with the Saudi king," the Daily Times quoted Azeem, as saying.
According to some sources, Musharraf was to visit Saudi Arabia, but cancelled his visit when no positive signals were received from Sharif.
