Officials in China drained a reservoir after locals complained that there was a monster lurking in its depths.
London, Sept 13 : Officials in China drained a reservoir after locals complained that there was a monster lurking in its depths.
According to Western China City Daily, residents at Hongxian became fearful after they started hearing 'Moo' sounds coming from the water at night, and insisted that officials do something about it.
The township government instructed the Yongfu Hydropower plant to drain out all the water even though it had only been open for two months.
It took 5 days to empty the 35ft reservoir, and for all their troubles, the officials didn't find any monster.
"We had to empty the reservoir, since more and more people were visiting it, and it was dangerous," Ananova quoted a spokesman, as telling the paper.
