Chief of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, was today sent back to Islamabad after his arrival here at the Jinnah Terminal.
Karachi, Sep 12 : Chief of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, was today sent back to Islamabad after his arrival here at the Jinnah Terminal.
The reason for not allowing Khan to enter Sindh province has been attributed to the latter's causing traffic snarl in the city.
Police have detained several party workers who reached airport to receive Khan, The News reported.
"The Sindh Government had imposed ban over his entry in the province. Tehrik-e-Insaf leader was sent back to Islamabad in a flight when he landed at Karachi airport, " the daily reported.
The Sindh Government has banned Khan's entry into the province for 30 days.
The Advisor to the Chief Minister for Home Affairs Waseem Akhtar said that the ban was imposed in light of orders of the Supreme Court to make arrangements for the smooth flow of traffic in the city.
