London, Sep 11 : A 6ft 7in man was pulled over for dangerously riding a child's BMX bike.
Andrew Notman was spotted by police officers swerving past pedestrians on a footpath in his home town of Galashiels, Selkirkshire, on 11 June.
Two police officers were injured in a row after stopping Notman and had to be assisted by a member of the public as they tried to handcuff him.
"Because of his height and build, he proved to be a difficult customer to deal with," the Scotsman quoted prosecutor Graham Fraser, as telling the Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Notman admitted riding a bicycle that was too small for him on a footpath and causing danger to pedestrians. He also pled guilty to getting involved in a fracas with the police.
Sheriff Kevin Drummond fined Notman a total of 50 pounds, adding, "This was all unnecessary."
