At least 18 people have been killed, including policemen, in a suicide blast in western Pakistans Dera Ismail Khan town.
Islamabad, Sept 11 : At least 18 people have been killed, including policemen, in a suicide blast in western Pakistan's Dera Ismail Khan town.
The blast took place at the town's bus stand, and according to eyewitnesses the suicide bomber was a teenage boy, aged between 14 and 15."The bomber was travelling on a bus when he realised he was being followed by police. He got off the bus and soon afterwards blew himself up at the bus stand," The News quoted DIG Dera Ismail Khan Haji Habib-u-Rehman, as saying.
Several persons injured in the blast have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
Police have cordoned off the site of the blast and have initiated investigation into the incident.
