Pakistan Muslim League-Ns (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif has said that though his brother and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was kidnapped and deported, he will go back to Pakistan very soon.
Islamabad, Sep 11 : Pakistan Muslim League-N's (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif has said that though his brother and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was kidnapped and deported, he will go back to Pakistan very soon.
"Those who kidnapped Nawaz and sent him out of the country are grossly mistaken. Nawaz will be back in Pakistan soon," the Daily Times quoted Shahbaz, as saying.
Stating Nawaz's deportation to Jeddah as a slap on the face of the judiciary, he said: "Today once again the government has ripped apart the sanctity of the judiciary."
Yesterday, when Nawaz landed in Islamabad and left the aircraft with party officials after a 90-minute standoff with authorities, he was arrested immediately.
He returned to Pakistan after seven years in exile.
The Pakistan Government is maintaining that it has simply done its job by arresting Sharif, who they say was involved in many cases of fraud and cheating.
