Islamabad, Oct.8 : A helicopter escorting Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf crashed in Pakistan-administered Kashmir on Monday, killing four security officials and injuring his spokesman.
Musharraf, who was travelling to attend the second anniversary ceremony of the October 8, 2005 earthquake in Pakistan administered Kashmir, was unhurt.
The medium-lift helicopter that crashed was carrying Musharraf's spokesman Rashid Qureshi and other security and staff officials. It was following the President's aircraft when it crashed near Gari Dupata town after catching fire, military spokesman Maj Gen Waheed Arshad said.
Qureshi and three other officers were injured and were taken to a hospital in Muzaffarabad.
