Some journalists who usually cover the Sindh Assembly proceedings have not been issued passes by the CM House to cover the presidential election today.
Karachi, Oct 6 : Some journalists who usually cover the Sindh Assembly proceedings have not been issued passes by the CM House to cover the presidential election today.
More 'sympathetic' journalists from other beats have been issued passes from the same organisation.
"We have received a list from the CM House that is limited and many journalists from different 'bold newspapers' including Daily Times are not included," a Sindh Information Department officer said.
Urdu daily Ummat confirmed that it had not received a pass to cover the presidential poll.
It is believed the same has happened to Nawa-i-Waqt, Express and Kawish.
There is confusion among journalists. Whenever they contact the Sindh Information Department to ask for security passes they are told that CM House had included their names.
The Information Department mostly issues a list of journalists for the routine assembly coverage, but this is for the first time that the CM House has done the job.
