London, Oct 5 : Concert for Diana organised by Princes William and Harry in memory of their later mother Princes Diana has raised 1.2 million pounds for charity.
Eight organisations will get 150,000 pounds from the funds collected through the event, which paid tribute to the late royal.
"Although the event was first and foremost a tribute concert, both Princes William and Harry were keen that any proceeds should be shared among the eight charities which they had selected to be beneficiaries,' Daily Snack quoted a Clarence House spokesman, as saying.
The Diana, Princess of Wales, Memorial Fund and Harry's charity, Sentebale, which helps Aids orphans in Lesotho, are also among the organisations getting a share from the proceeds.
Others include organisations that the Princess of Wales was a patron of -including Royal Marsden and Great Ormond Street Hospitals, Centrepoint, The Leprosy Mission, The National Aids Trust and English National Ballet.
